About the Maternal and Child Health Measurement Research Network (MCH-MRN)
The purpose of the Maternal and Child Health Measurement Research Network (MCH-MRN) is to create a multidisciplinary network to inspire, support, coordinate, and advance efforts related to MCH measurement, measurement innovation, and systems performance on behalf of the nation's children, youth, and families.
The MCH-MRN's 2016-2019 cycle is led by the Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initative (CAHMI). The CAHMI has contributed to the MCH-MRN's goals by:
1) Identifying gaps and priority areas in MCH measurement as part of a larger MCH measurement agenda
2) Creating an interactive compendium of over 1,000 MCH and well-being measures contained within the measure sets referenced below
3) Creating a series of quick, at-a-glance profiles on the MCH measure sets from a number of national, state, and local programs such as Title V, Medicaid/CHIP, Healthy People 2020, Child Welfare, PQMP, and more
If you are interested in becoming a member of the MCH-MRN, we encourage you to fill out the MCH-MRN Engagement Tool. You can also review our starting-point Strategic Agenda for a look at some of the measurement gaps that the MCH-MRN hopes to address.
